Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. They should be able to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. They should be able to produce clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options. (CEF level B2)

  • Lesson 8 - reported speech
  • Lesson 9 - phrasal verbs; third conditional; question tags
Assessment methods
Requirements: active participation in the classes (a maximum of 2 absences is permitted), fulfilling the teacher's requirements (homework, mid tests, etc.), a final test (min. 60%) and an exam testing conversation skills (on online chat or orally, based on the student's preferences).
