- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to teach students how to apply the basic principles of wellbeing in their student life, to help them find inner peace and balance by mastering relaxation and stress management techniques (e.g. how to calm down before a speech or presentation).
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course the students will be able to: • - know the basic principles of wellbeing; • - analyze the level of balance in their life spheres; • - use practical wellbeing techniques to optimize and plan different areas of life; • - deal with stress more effectively; • - better understand their emotions and needs; • - be better focused during exams or in other stressful situations; • - bring more meaning and fulfillment into thier lives.
- Syllabus
- The course is taught by two teachers, each of whom focuses on selected topics that form the axis of the course. These topics are covered in individual blocks of the respective interactive curriculum - each teacher works with one curriculum. The topics of both curricula are interlinked and closely interrelated. In the course, students are introduced to the overall concept of wellbeing and its basic principles, as well as techniques that lead to a change of mindset, a sense of inner well-being and a life balance. These include techniques such as art therapy, psychohygiene, relaxation and stress management in different situations, with an emphasis on language and communication barriers.
- Teaching methods
- Various teaching methods are combined in seminars, exercises and workshops, with the main emphasis on the interactive method and wellbeing techniques. The individual activities are carried out individually, in pairs or in groups.
