- Course objectives
- Public Economics (PVVE) The course surveys the principles of scientific discipline Public Economics , dealing with that part of national economy which is funded from redistributive processes and which is usually referred to as the public sector. The subject matter is divided into six interrelated blocks: The first block explains the basic concepts, placing special emphasis on the relation between the concepts of the non-profit sector and the public sector. In the second block, the causes of existence of public sector are explored, as well as its basic functions and factors influencing its state and development tendencies. The third block is devoted to the fundamentals of public finance as a dominant category. Flows of public funds, public budgets and public expenditure are explicated. The fourth block introduces the student in the structure of public budgets revenues placing special emphasis on taxes. The fifth block contains explanation of local public budgets and institutions in which public sector activities are realised. The final, sixth block covers public sector management, public choice and public control and the principles of public sector s efficiency. Examination: oral.

- Zkouška má ústní formu. Předpokladem připuštění ke zkoušce je získání alespoň 60% bodů ze dvou průběžných písemných zkoušek.

- Information on completion of the course: podmínkou připouštění ke zkoušce je získání alespoň 60% bodů ze dvou písemných testů během semestru. Body lze získat i zpracováním seminárních prací, resp. jejich obhajobami. Podrobnosti na prvním cvičení.
