- It is a required course for the M.F.T.A.P.; the course is adopted from the catalogue of the partner university (Université Rennes I, IPAG). The course is taught in French only. The aim is to familiarize students with the French essay (“dissertation”) methodology. During the semester, students write various essays. The goal is to deepen the students’ capacity while analyzing real problems and to present it in a stylistically appropriate form of “dissertation”, which is the standard form of French examination.
- Syllabus
- The course has the form of weekly seminars. The first part of the course is the introduction to the French essay methodology. During the semester, students work on different essay parts (thesis, antithesis, synthesis) and discuss them with the teacher. Concrete essay themes are selected by the French teacher (the representative of the French Embassy in Prague, who is based at ESF MU) every year.
