- Welcome to the module BUSINESS STRATEGY.
This module will be drawing together various strands, concepts and theories from the modules you have previously studied during your degree programme. The concept of business strategy is an important one in contemporary business world and you will need to master the underpinning principles before entering employment in a business environment. - Syllabus
- The module has been structured around five key themes which build on each other to provide you with an overview of the major principles that underpin business strategy. One of the key messages that the module team would wish to emphasise is that business strategy draws on many of the subject areas you have already studied.
- Week 1 KEY THEME ONE: INTRODUCTION & EXPECTATIONS OF STRATEGY

- Assessment methods
- There are two assessment components for the module, the first will be undertaken during the
module followed by final examination undertaken at the end of the module.
In module Assignment (Course Work)
(30% of module mark)
A single incourse assignment, which will consist of group work focused around a group developed case study.
Examination (70% of module mark) The examination will consist of an unseen examination questions based on a preseen case study. You will be allowed to take only an annotated copy of the case into the examination. - Language of instruction
