Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the methodology of preparing a bachelor thesis. After completing the course, the student will be able to create a thesis or official assignment of the bachelor thesis in cooperation with the supervisor of the bachelor thesis and defend this assignment in front of colleagues.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- formulate thesis objectives and set proper research goals,
- choose relevant methods to work up the thesis,
- identify and summarize relevant information and literature sources,
- with assistance of the supervisor formulate research project of the final theses.

  • - Basic content and formal requirements of bachelor thesis.
  • - The most common problems/errors associated with thesis processing.
  • - Research project - research questions and hypotheses, methods.
  • - Introduction to information sources.

Teaching methods
The course takes place in the form of lectures, the form of individual consultations with the supervisor aimed at formulating the official assignment of the bachelor thesis. According to the specific instructions of the supervisor, the course may also include, for example, a presentation or thesis defense.
Assessment methods
There are two requirements: students have to fulfill the condition of active attendance at individual consultations and finalisation of the official research project proposal of the thesis.
