Course objectives
The teaching provides elementary knowledge in the application of a computer in music. It can expand students knowledge of computers art, algorithmization, programming of music composing. Students will learn about professional programs for composing, editing, notation and reproduction of sounds and with electroacoustic and computer music as an art production and its application in computer games and animation. At the end of the course students should be able to studium and create programs of music.

Teaching methods
theoretical lectures, presentations, reproductions, reception and interpretation of selected pieces of computer music, homeworks and class discussion
Assessment methods
There are two possibilities to complete the course. To gain one credit, students have to write a short report summarizing the knowledge gained in the course. To gain two credits (colloquium), students have to present their work with a music program and its short description. The description have to be published on the web page of the course to made available to other students. The chosen music program can be student-made software or a commercial program created for musical composers, users, adapters and computer specialists.
