- Student will obtain the knowledge about current technologies used for realizing geographic information systems. The lectures will provide examples as well as comparison of existing systems.

- Principles of GIS, an overview data architecture.
- Geo-related data management.
- Data input to GISes.
- Analytic functions of GISes.
- Output functions of GISes, thematic maps.
- Methodology of GIS projecting.
- An overview of commercial GISes: topologicaly oriented GISes, CAD based GISes and object-oriented GISes.
