- Course objectives
- Seminar focuses on practical aspects of issues discussed in PB153. The objective is to allow students to learn system details of OS which is useful for development of system tools as well as of other applications. Examples for Win32 and Linux systems illustrate basic building blocks of operating systems: kernel interface, system calls, IPC, process priorities, planning algorithms, processes vs. threads, access control, I/O operations, filesystems.
