- Course objectives
- The course is devoted to the PhD students. The supervisors integrate the students to the research projects in a broader context of concrete laboratories: Laboratory of Searching and Dialogue, Laboratory of Security and Applied Cryptography, Laboratory of Natural Language Processing, Laboratory of Design and Architecture of Digital Systems. The goal of the course is to enable the students to participate in the projects and to gain experience in research team work.
- Syllabus
- Framework of the course consists in digital processing of various forms of data, like natural text, images, sound and video. Special attention is devoted to the methods of searching in large databases, security of data processing and the analysis of text information.
- Literature
- The literature is established by the concrete supervisor for the concrete studet.
- Teaching methods
- Consultations and research work is based on individual communication with the supervisor. The students are integrated into the laboratory research projects and international research projects like Networks of excellence or other EU projects. The team collaboration is emphasized.
- Assessment methods
- The research work of the students is evaluated by the supervisor based on the concrete research plan.
