Course objectives
The aim of the course is to present the broad use of dietary supplements in sport on the basis of the current knowledge.
Learning outcomes
Aftre completing the course students will be able to:
- define dietary supplements;
- read food labels correctly;
- orient and recommend dietary supplements for athletes in support of regeneration, adaptation and enhancement of sports performance;
- include nutrition supplements in the athlete's diet in order to optimize sports training;
- Assess the rationale for using food supplements in sport.

  • Carbohydrate based supplements
  • Protein based dietary supplements
