- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to follow up on b4615b Specialization Coaching 2 - Basketball and to strengthen the right principles in leading the training process when practicing and improving game combinations and game systems using different methodical and organizational forms.
- Learning outcomes
- After successfully completing the course student will:
- define game combinations and game systems (tactical skills),
- use basic types of practicing combinations and game systems,
- characterize and evaluate the performance of the basketball team,
- develop players' endurance abilities in line with ontogenetic specifics,
- prepare the team for the game and coach the team during a basketball game,
- characterize the physical and physiological demands of basketball,
- individualize the training process according to the players’ positions,
- interpret the competition and transfer rules,
- analyze the game performance of the opponent (scouting),
- orientate in the structure of the Czech Basketball Federation (ČBF) and the Association of Basketball Coaches (SBT). - Syllabus
- Students will conduct methodical demonstrations on the given topic (game combinations and game systems) in the semester after the information meeting (they will be assigned methodical demonstrations from basketball, requirements on the demonstrations, credit requirements to successfully complete the subject).
- Students' methodical demonstrations are extended by coaching stay in U17 and U19 categories.
- Thematic units:
- - game combinations (offensive + defensive),
- - game systems (offensive + defensive),
- - team performance,
- - endurance skills in basketball,
- - preparing the team for the game and leading the team during a game,
- - physical and physiological demands of basketball,
- - individualization of the training process according to players’ positions,
- - the competition and transfer rules of the ČBF,
- - scouting analysis of the opponent performance (scouting).
