- Course objectives
- The course is designed to provide students with knowledge in various sport disciplines and sport related topics while successfully mastering reading comprehension, oral and written reproduction in English. At the end of the course the students are required to have reached the level B1+ of CEF.
- Learning outcomes
- Graduates of this course will acquire command of professional terminology in sport science, health and various sport disciplines. By the end of the course students students will be able to use professionally relevant grammatical phenomena. The improvement of reproductive communication skills (proper pronunciation, correct spelling, apt use of stylistic registers in written communication and acquisition of basic lexical knowledge) will be emphasized and their eventual mastery expected.

- Language seminar: speaking,reading, listening, writing, presenting
- Assessment methods
- The course is taught in the form of seminars. Students will find topics for each week in the interactive syllabus section ("interaktivní osnova"), and prepare them for the following classes. The items: U3 etc. indicate the number of a unit in the above grammar textbook. The course is completed by an exam. 1 unexcused missed attendance is accepted.

- The exam at the end of the course comprises testing all language skills: speaking, reading, writing, listening. The exam is both written and oral. The topics for the oral part can be found in the materials to study. The exam can be recognized on the basis of FCE, the corresponding examination from another university or on the basis of an internationally recognized certificate.
