Course objectives
The main goals of the educational process involve:
- the improvement of the locomotive abilities and fitness
- the impact on the positive approach towards sports activities
considered as the protection against conflicts, civilization diseases and stress
- the support of students healthy lifestyle
- the course introduces the basic individual game activities and simple combinations as well as the basic game rules. The student chooses a seminar group according to his playing level: beginners - intended for beginners. During the lessons, we will focus on training the absolute basic game activities of an individual and the rules of basketball. intermediate - intended for students who play basketball occasionally/in their free time in an unorganized form (PE at secondary/university school). The student knows the basic game activities of an individual, controls the rules. performance - designed for active performance players who play/played performance basketball before entering university (sports club, other organized form). The student knows the basic game activities of an individual, game combinations and systems (offensive and defensive), knows the rules of basketball.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able: - To perform and use the basic game skills keeping with the game rules and selected game levels.
Syllabus
  • activities trained during the course:
  • two-hand pass with and without body movement
  • left-right hand pass with and without body movement
  • dribbling
  • shooting (jump shot, shot off the dribble
  • defence
  • defensive and attacking rebound
  • screening
