- Course objectives
- The main objectives of the course are the following: understanding main principles and driving forces of globalisation; understanding and analysis of globalisation risks, and theoretical intepretation of globalisation.
At the end of the course students should be able to understand and explain the role of national state in the globalisation process; character of present economic issues; position of developing countries as the challenge to globalisation, globalisation perspectives. - Syllabus
- 1.Globalisation - definition and characteristics, pros and cons
- 2.Globalisation perspectives. Demografic aspects, problem of resources.
- 3.Developing countries. Tools of poverty eradication.
- 4.Main economic aspects of globalisation processes.
- 5.Security hazards and risks, international organised crime.
- 6.National state and globalisation.
- 7.International governmental and non-governmental institutions, regional state clusters.
- 8.United Nations crisis, global governance.
- 9.European Union as a global partner.
- 10. Philosphy of globalisation, anthropological aspects, risk of global collapse.
