- Course objectives
- The course acquaints the students of the bachelor studies with the basic background and most important points of the Jewish-Arab and Israeli-Palestine conflict from the beginning of the 20th century to the present. Students will gain a detailed view of above mentioned conflicts and the course will lead to a further development of their analytical skills.

- 1) Introduction 2) Dawn of the conflict 3) Period of 1939 - 1948 4) Documentary movie and discussion 5) Period of 1949 - 1967 6) Written exam 7) Six-day war and its consequences 8) Period of 70s and 80s 9) Documentary movie and discussion 10) Peace process of the 90s 11) From the peace process to the second intifada 12) Current situation 13) Conclusion, written exam, essay.

- The course consists of lectures and seminars. It ends with a written exam. The requirements for the completion of the course are: - active participation on classes - the completion of the first written exam which is necessary for the following exam - final exam and the elaboration of an essay
