Course objectives
The aim of the course is to improve skills of sociological skilled writing. Participants are supposed to assume the genre of skilled analytical study. Analytical study may have a form of secondary data analysis, or sociological case study, eventually compilation, etc. Participants will work on formulation of study topic (what shall be researched and how), formulation of results of relevant library research (that will be realized during the course as well), and finally on developing basic structure of skilled text as a necessary preparation for writing a quality text. The main focus of the course will be on proper grasping of the skilled text topic in a written form, while preferred perspective on chosen topics will be sociological one, not e. g. psychological or political. Participants will develop their argumentation style and writing skills; work with resources, and formal adjustment of the text. Participants are advised to use the course work for preparation of their own diploma work.
