- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to increase methodological qualification and practical research skills relevant for student's own dissertation research.
- Learning outcomes
- After successfully passing the course, student will be able to apply methodological approaches, interpret, compose, evaluate them.
- Syllabus
- Course content varies by semester. There are several strategies that can be used to obtain credit: a. enrollment in existing methodological courses (in the department of sociology or another department), b. enrollment in ad-hoc methodological courses offered by visiting professors/lecturers c. participation in methodological spring/summer schools d. successful completion of methodological cours(es) at other universities (typically abroad) e. independent study of a chosen method (with one's supervisor or other expert) that will result in a paper using the respective method.
