- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to get its participants acquainted with the current population development both at the wordlwide level and the Czech one. We shall focus on relationship between population trends on the one hand side and social characteristics on the other. During the course, we shall deal mainly with the process of human reproduction. We shall learn how to understand population projections and we shall be interested in the interaction of value preferences and real demographic behaviour. We shall ask wherther it is possible to influence population trends by a particular population policy.
