- Course objectives
- The main goal of the course is to introduce detail aspects of one of the crucial EU communitarian policies (which is Common Agricultural Policy), to the students. On successful completion of the course, students will understand not only the emergence of the CAP in the context of common market formation, but they will also be able to interpret its recent development and current issues. First part of the course will be composed of lectures and in the second part, students will learn to discuss relevant issues connected to the CAP.

- Teaching methods
- The basic teaching methods include lectures, class discussion and group projects. The group projects consist in presentations by couples of students of practical assignment in the form of concrete analysis of particular problems concerning the support of EU Common Agriculture Policy. An alternative method for oral presentations is represented by equivalent written analysis of particular problem concerning EU Common Agricultural Policy. The group projects serve to broaden students skills in team work and oral presentation. The composition of an written essay aims to improve the analytical skills of students.
- Assessment methods
- For the course completion students have to pass the final written examination and elaborate a practical assignment during the course. Written test will be composed of 10 questions with set of possible answers (one point for each question) and five short open questions (3 points each). It will be possible to receive 25 points in total for the test. Practical assignment (10 points max) might be completed either by oral presentation during the course or by equivalent written form. Successful course completion requires receiving at least 20 points together.
