- Course objectives
- The course is conceived as a basic introduction to psychology of emotion and motivation.
The lectures are focused on main concepts and theories.
At the end of this course, student should be able to:
1. To understand main concepts, concept relations, phenomena, theoretical approaches in the areas of emotion and motivation, mentioned below. To understand and to use precisely the terminology of this part of general psychology.
2. To describe phenomenology of emotions and motivation as well as the hidden mechanisms of human behavior. To identify the emotions as an important factor of many types of human behavior, to assess the role of external and internal sources of motivation while analyzing human behavior. To name an expertly substantiated spectrum of plausible motives of each type of behavior.
3. To generalize from the particular (real life) experiences to expert terms and to name number of specific examples of each term. - Syllabus

- IV. Emotion, motivation and volition in the context of the personality. Emotion, motivation and volition in interaction with cognitive processes.
- This is the main part of the course syllabus. The whole syllabus containing a survey of particular terms, instructions and recommended literature will be available (in Czech) - in the folder "Study materials" in the Information System of MU.
