Course objectives
The main goal of the course is to make an introduction for students to sociology of law. We are going to study law from the sociological point of view which is the most extensive and comprehensive normative system of modern society. Sociology of law is not very often applied in Czech Republic, inspite of that fact there exists demand for solutions, which sociology of law traditionaly dwell on. The inefficiency of law and general discontent shows that there is wide space open for sociologists and sociological researches. Graduates should be able to apply individual paradigms creatively and and know their means of use. This kind of knowledge will be very useful for empirical practice.
