Course objectives
The course is based on intensive co-operation between lecturers and students as a comprehensive project of the media organization. Students work in a multimedia newsrooom, a radio and a TV studio independently (only under the supervision of lecturers). Their activities include a wide variety of media work ranging from editing as the work of editor-in-chief or editor, and linking to other courses to distributing and promoting "selling" the media product or advertising it. The output of students' work is a complete online medium (daily/radio/television) with the publication of contributions with an emphasis on multimedia (written, audio and video posts). The aim is that students perform different functions in the main departments of a media organization, with an emphasis on the editorial work. The main aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for the basic journalistic positions in online and print media, radio and television. The complexity of the course is based on the requirements of the application sphere, as elaborated in the market analysis.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will acquire such practical and functional knowledge and skills in the field, which will enable them to follow the professional experience in journalistic work and in editing media products and then to make professional work in basic journalistic positions on their own.

Teaching methods
Seminars and practical journalistic work. Teaching takes place in seminar groups focused on individual types of media - online (including printed media), television, radio. Each seminar group works as a newsreader of the relevant media type, produces journalistic products from the idea / tip to the final placement in the training Internet media. Simulated practical learning from doing. Mentoring from experts. Creating a media product. Project oriented learning. Developing teamwork.
Assessment methods
Each student must produce a specified number of journalistic products in a minimum of sufficient quality and work as a member of the group/editorial team (editor or editor-in-chief) for at least one production week of the training medium. The activity and quality of search for appropriate topics in seminars/meetings plus work with information and resources and the resulting product processing (article, audio or video post) are evaluated. The resulting mark is then awarded according to the number of points achieved in total.
