- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to introduce doctoral students into specific methods of research and scientific work. The course is focused on preparation and effective using of publications, working with information, and skills in the statistical processing of research data.
- Syllabus
- Searching strategies and methods of effective searching in electronic information resources.
- Specialized and multidisciplinary electronic information resources.
- Search strategies, specifics of information resources and effective work with them.
- Creation of making searches.
- Methods of evaluating outputs of science and research and orientation in diversified types of results of national and international character.
- Getting to know the distribution of outputs for science and research evaluation and their specification.
- Information register of research and development results (RIV).
- Practical examples of entering publication outputs to the IS.
- Professional publishing principles and its opportunities.
- The structure of a scientific article, footnotes, references, etc.
- What is ORCID, Research ID and other networks and why it is important to create an acount.
- Distinguishing types quality of journals according to their quality.
- Practical skills in a review process.
- Orientation in grants enabling the development of science and research.
- Where to look for grant opportunities, the project cycle.
- Practical skills in of making scientific research projects.
- The project preparation, processing the project proposal, the project practice at the Faculty.
