- Course objectives
- The course is concerned with the central role played by the Court of Justice of the European Union in the evolution of EU law, especially cornerstone concepts such as Primacy, Direct Effect and State Liability. The course will consider how EU law has become part of the constitutional and judicial framework of Member State. In particular there will be a focus on how national courts interact with the Court of Justice through the Preliminary Ruling procedure under Article 267 TFEU.

- At the end of the course, students should be able to:

• Understand the evolution of the Primacy of EU Law
• Evaluate the Preliminary Ruling Procedure under Article 267 TFEU - Syllabus
