Course objectives
The aim of the course is: - to get a basic idea of the discipline of private international law in a historical context; - to get a basic idea of Czech - national and EU private international law; - to get a basic idea of the sources of legal regulation and their mutual links /interaction/; - to get a basic idea of the legal regulation of obligations arising from contracts with an international element.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - identify the essential features of private international law; - identify the sources of legislation; - determine the links between them; - to determine in its basic form the legal regulation of contracts with an international element pursuant to the Rome I Regulation.

Teaching methods
The course is combined. On the one hand, theoretical preparation is scheduled in the range of 12 hours, and on the other hand, the student's interactive curriculum leads to self-study.
