- Course objectives
- Radiation Protection builds upon the objects of Radiology Physics, Devices radiological techniques. It is necessary for teaching vocational subjects and their own practice radiological assistant. The course provides a comprehensive view of the basic principles of radiation protection. It deals with issues of quality assurance at all radiological work. Students will learn fundamentals of radiation protection, particularly to minimize personal radiation burden and the risks arising therefrom. Acquainted with and will be able to understand the subject of quality assurance, with the legislative aspects of quality management, with the influence of psychology at the quality control of the quality assurance program in radiodiagnostic with the quality assurance program in radiotherapy and quality assurance program in nuclear medicine. Familiarize themselves with the biological effects of radiation and the application of radiotherapy in treatment. Graduate able to interpret and apply all relevant laws, rules, constraints and recommendations for application of ionizing radiation in relation to patients and workers will be able to for their expertise to monitor, evaluate quality standards for the workplace.
