- Course objectives
- The course is designed for students of doctoral studies in medical and biological disciplines. Its goal is to: - introduce into the ethics of biomedical research - develop the ability to perceive the ethical aspects of biomedical research, especially in the field of a given doctoral study and student's research work - adopt the basic regulatory rules (ethical principles and legal norms) including their use in a grant application - develop the ability to independently solve new ethical issues within biomedical research
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the subject, the student will be able: - to identify ethical aspects of biomedical research - to analyze ethical dilemmas in biomedical research - to apply the ethical normative tools
- Syllabus
- Science and ethics & Ethics of biomedical research (historical overview) & Human subject research & Human biological material used for research purposes & Animal research & Ethics of scientific conduct (scientific integrity) & Regulatory frameworks & Ethics Committees & Ethical and legal requirements of grant application
