- The main learning objectives are:
acquiring theoretical knowledge about the organization and importance of psychiatric care in urgent acute care
acquiring theoretical knowledge about dealing with acute psychiatric conditions
obtaining theoretical knowledge about possible pharmacological and non-pharmacological procedures - Learning outcomes
- Upon completion of the course the student will be able to:
understand the importance and organization of psychiatric care in acute urgent care
describe and recognize symptoms of the most common mental disorders
describe and recognize the symptoms of the first attacks of psychoses
suggest appropriate acute treatment to calm a psychotic patient - Syllabus
