- Course objectives
- The course is part of a complex mandatory items from clinical nursing.Course builds on the knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology and Pediatrics. The course is focused on providing basic nursing care in a different period of childhood . Acquaints students with the healthy and taking care of a sick child with regard to his individual needs according to the degree of psychomotor development. This course is designed as a theoretical and practical. Takes place in the training classroom. The goal of nursing care in Pediatrics is familiarising students with the therapeutic and preventive issues care in health and disease. The emphasis is on obtaining medical histories and basic examination of children of all ages. Provides basic information about the treatment and examination of children with a selected issue. The structure of the teaching of clinical conditions: 1 the main objective: • to familiarize students with the healthy child care primary system (community) care; • to understand the differences in the care of the child in the primary, secondary and tertiary prevention; • to develop methods for assessment of the child's health and psychosocial causes of affecting the healthy development of the child; • know the standard diagnostic-therapeutic procedures and interventions selected clinical conditions; • meet with causes and special manifestations of acute conditions; • Introduction to health care focused on children's deployed on age; • understand the particularities of children's age, learning the basics of care's child different age period; • apply basic and special care of the child with the eye condition.
- Learning outcomes
- The course is focused on providing basic nursing care in a different period of childhood. After completing the course the student will be: - he knows the milestones of the development and maturation of the child - describes the basic needs of the child at different ages - become familiar with the characteristic symptoms of basic childhood diseases - can provide basic first aid to the child - become familiar with the essential procedures in the treatment of healthy and sick child - familiar with communication meztodami in the care of the child - adheres to principles of work with the child - knows the basics of a healthy style
