- Course objectives
- At the end of course students should be able: to measure some basic biophysical quantities in correct way; to understand physical (thermodynamic) principles of some physiological processes (blood circulation, respiration, origin of memebrane potentials; to understand principles of selected diagnostic devices used in general medicine; to recognize possible risks connected with their use; to understand the effects of ionising radiation on living matter.
- Learning outcomes
- After finishing the course students will (in the extent necessary for nutrition therapy): know how to measure some basic biophysical quantities in correct way; understand physical (thermodynamic) principles of some physiological processes (blood circulation, respiration, origin of memebrane potentials); understand principles of selected diagnostic devices used in medicine; recognize possible risks connected with their use; understand the effects of ionising radiation on living matter.
