Course objectives
Objective of the course: - identify the role of the educator; - to identify the needs of the eductor in the educational process; - provide education in the framework of provided nursing care.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - to identify the needs of the edu- cants (health / illness); - to formulate a nursing diagnosis in the educational process; - set goals and education plan; - implement and evaluate the educational process; - identify barriers in the educational process; - provide effective education (in individuals, families, health and disease communities) in clinical practice; - use professional terminology; - adhere to the principles of education; - to focus on related literature (eg pedagogy, psychology, etc.).

  • Lectures: • Pedagogy as a science - definition of the concept, relation of pedagogy to other sciences, structure of the field; basic terminology. • Learning principles, learning styles, pedagogical diagnostics. • Forms of education. • Methods of education. • Teaching aids and didactic techniques. • Didactic principles. • Factors influencing the educational process. Barriers to education. • The personality and role of the educator. Personality of the educator and specific peculiarities (handicap, age, foreigners). • Educational process - characteristic, phase. • Defining and formulating educational goals. • The process of education in the health facility. • Factors influencing the educational process. Barriers to education. • Documentation of the educational process. • The use of educational standards in the work of a medical practitioner.
