- Course objectives
- The course aims to enable students to train the pedagogical-psychological competencies in the environment of vocational secondary schools and cooperation with teachers in leading tandem teaching or the use of cooperation between teacher and teaching assistant. During the internship, students will work on specific tasks related to the activities of a teaching assistant in the classroom and independent pedagogical activities that will lead to tandem teaching with the teacher or they will prepare and evaluate them together. The specific form of tasks is determined at the beginning of the internship with the cooperating teacher at the school. The evaluation of the contribution of the internship takes place at the final evaluation meeting at the faculty - it is a group facilitated reflection.
- Learning outcomes
- After taking the course the student will be able to: • understand the process of supporting pupils with SEN • organize goals and choose the methods that are useful in the process of tutoring with respect to a specific child • communicate with the teacher regarding the planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational activities in the classroom • coordinate the work of one student as well as groups of students (including students with SEN) • have experience from the group reflection.
- Syllabus
- From a list of cooperating schools, the student chooses a teacher who they will work with on the teaching practice and with whom they will fulfill the duties of a teaching assistant. The first meeting between the student and the teacher will be held at the chosen school, during which the expectations of both parties will be expressed, a timetable for cooperation will be drawn up and cooperation possibilities and desired outcomes will be agreed on. The student will work with the teacher every week for the duration of the teaching practice. . Student partipates on 1 group supervision. The date and place for supervizion will be annouced.
