- Cílem předmětu je představit studentům vybrané historické způsoby uchopení pojmu "filosofie", které ovlivňují způsob myšlení, přístup ke světu i sobě samému u člověka 21.století.

- 1. Filosofie a filosofování 2. Hérakleitovo hledání sebe samého 3. Platónův člověk člověkem dvou světů 4. Základní otázka helénismu a její řešení(stoicismus a epikureismus) 5. Descaertova cesta k "Myslím, tedy jsem" a její důsledky 6. Lockova teorie poznání 7. Humův agnosticismus 8. Berkeleyova kritika Johna Locka 9.
