Course objectives
Introduction to Aesthetics and Cultural Studies. The introduction with basic conceptions of science about art and cultural sciences together with representative aegments from history of aesthetic thought. The problems of the trend of culture and its function in today's world.
Syllabus
  • Aesthetic experience. Chapters in history of aesthetic thinking. Basic of art studies. Relation between art and reality. General cultural theory. Methods of research of cultural phenomena. Clasification of knowledge of culture.Mutual relation between culture and civilization. Mass culture. Postmodern culture in post-industrial society.
