- Course objectives
- The course is designed to prepare students for writing their bachelor thesis. The course is mostly run on-line, but students are required to attend 3 classes that will be held during the semestre. In class students will practice the skills that they will need for writing their thesis and completing the course successfully. In class students will also have an opportunity to clarify anything that they find difficult or misleading when working on their assignments.
- Syllabus
- The course will cover the following topics: working with secondary sources, stating an adequate research question, avoiding plagiarism, using different citation styles for citing souces, writing a text in academic style.

- Gibaldi, J. MLA handbook for writers of research papers. 6th ed. New York : Modern Language Association of America, 2003.
- Assessment methods (in Czech)
- Students are required to attend 3 classes and 3 individual consulations. The course is based on continuous assessment and students are expected to submit 3 individual assignments, 1 group assignment and pass an on-line test. The pass mark is 65% and students have to pass all the parts of continuous assessment to obtain the credits for the course.
