- Course objectives
- At the end of this course, students will be able to perform adequately the roles of e-learning tutors. They will understand how assist learners of a foreign language in online discussion formats. They will prove their theoretical knowledge practically working with real students in an online language course.
- Syllabus
- Introduction into basic e-learning terminology;
- Introduction into online teaching;
- The characteristics of an online teaching/learning environment;
- Practical activities connected with the role of an e-tutor;
- Classroom discussions about the students' performance as e-tutors during the previous week;
- Weekly feedback on the activities performed in the Online_A course;
- Seminar work summarizing the experience gained in the course.

- Teaching methods
- After being presented with theory and having discussions of this theory, students will try out the methods in practice by helping to moderate online learning discussions. The work will take place primarily online, with the possibility to have discussion in person to resolve issues.
- Assessment methods
- Active participation in tutoring students of English in the Online_A course and in the discussions concerning the online activities of the previous week. A three page seminar thesis summarizing personal experience gained in the course.
