Course objectives
The subject matter learners provides the basic knowledge of information systems and information technology. Students will get an overview of the design, function and service information systems, in particular in the state administration. Teaching the subject implies practical knowledge in operating personal computers, including knowledge of one of the office software packages such as Office 2007
Syllabus
  • 1st Introduction - the classification of Informatics science, cybernetic, social. 2nd Basic concepts - information, information system, information technology. 3rd The architecture of information systems - the general schedule information system (IS) - Information technology (IT). The role of users and IT IS. 4th Base data - data models, relational database, database servers, object models, a three-tier models of information technology. 5th Formal languages - the dictionary definition of a grammar, logic role in the development of formal language, logical structure of programming languages. 6th Logic and calculations - predicate logic, logic programming languages, structural programming, object oriented programming. 7th Technical resources - hardware, classification systems, the basic characteristics of computer networks, Internet, network security 8th Development of information technology and information systems - the process of developing the IS, the life cycle of how to manage IS IS development projects.
