Prerequisites
The participation in the seminar “Jazyková cvičení A reálie 1” is presupposed . The work is in the team with 2 - 3 further students to a large extent in homework to provide.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to prepare there own presentation on a special cultural topic. The work on the project is as far as possible an independent work to a topic of cultural studies, which can be discussed landspreading (comparatively the German-language countries) or also kontrastiv to the Czech republic or other European states. The work on the project runs over two semesters, the work has to be finished an presented to at the latest to the end of the summer semester. Methodically for the work on the project the following is expected: 1.) Search to a topic of cultural studies (in the country, Internet, libraries, folder material, by inquiries, correspondence, interview, etc.) 2.) Critical argument with the material, 3.) comprehensive and deep view of an exemplary topic 4.) Use of authentic material, source data and quotations 5.) structured, critical and founded representation of the topic. The work is a small scientific work and follows the stylistic and formal criteria.

  • The topic of the project work is selected by the project group itself and is to be agreed upon and/or specified with the responsible lector.
