- Course objectives
- In order to be enrolled for this course, the student’s language competence must correspond with level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This course prepares students to be able to use German scholarly texts in their studies as well as future professional life; it also develops their communication abilities in both spheres mentioned. Students work with written and recorded texts on B2 level with respect to specific features of the scholarly language in terms of lexical and stylistic devices as well as grammar. The course also involves giving presentations and writing abstracts, comments, essays and formal letters.

- Five in-term consultations. Credit requirements: 1.Attendance and active participation in consultations 2.Submitted all in-term assignments 3.Oral presentations (1/3 of the final mark) 4.Final test(Pass mark: 70%, i.e. 2/3 of the final mark)

General note: Předmět je vyučován v němčině a je zakončen testem na úrovni B2.

Information on course enrolment limitations: Požadované znalosti na úrovni B1 (ERR) se prověřují vstupním testem na úvodní konzultaci. Předmět si zapíší pouze ti studenti, kteří úspěšně absolvovali vstupní test.
