- The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
- fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
- Lower Secondary School Teacher Training in Chemistry (programme PdF, B-SPE)
- Course objectives
- The lecture is focused on recapitulaion of secondary school knowledge of physics and on improvement of students` konwledge in fields that are related to both qualitative and quantitative explaining of chemical phenomena.
The first half of the course is devoted to recapitulation and improvement of mathematical subject matter in the range necessary for following education in physics and for making calculations in general, physical and analytical chemistry.
After finishing this course, the student will be able to:
- solve easy physical calculation examples,
- deduce dimensions of physical quantities, using calculation formulas for the quantities,
- understand how chosen physical and chemical calculation formulas (rules) are deduced (also by means of mathematical analysis),
- use differential and integral calculus to solve easy physical and chemical exercises,
- will have a basic overview about chosen instruments and physical methods used in chemical laboratories. - Syllabus
- I. Mathematical part (with its use in physics and chemistry):
- a) Linear function
- b) Differential calculus
- c) Integral calculus
- d) Differential equations
- II. Physical part:
- a) Mechanics
- b) Power, work, energy
- c) Wave motion, electromagnetic waves
- d) Temperature, calorimetry
- e) Electricity and magnetism

theoretical preparation - Assessment methods
- Colloquium with written part and oral part.
The written part takes 60 minutes. The students solve 10 calculation examples taken from the example collection, that is available by means of Informational System in section Study Materials. To continue to oral part, at least 7 examples must be solved correctly. - Language of instruction
- Czech
- Further comments (probably available only in Czech)
- Study Materials
The course can also be completed outside the examination period.
The course is taught annually.
General note: Nezapisují studenti chemie v kombinaci s fyzikou.
