Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able: to learn the history of French literature of the given period; to define mains elements of differentiate individual literary styles; to illustrate the theory by means of texts; differentiate individual literary styles of the given period; to categorise them chronologically and compare them reciprocally. It is also assumed ability to orient in záklandích works of French literature of the 20th century.

  • 1. Literature of the turn of 19th and 20th century. 2. The novel between the two wars. 3. The era after the Second world war. 4. The New novel and literature of the second half of 20th century. 5. Contemporary French literature.

Assessment methods
Workshop Ending: examination. Requirements for ending: test, includes questions and verifying the orientation of the basic works of French literature of the 20th century (as a successful test is considered one with at least 70 % right answers).
