Course objectives
At the end of this course, a student will be able to understand the areas of multi-culture education. Based on this knowledge, he/she will be able to interpret individual topics and apply them into separate activities of MV.
Syllabus
  • Illustration of ideas like racism and it is products, discrimination, racial violence, interculturality, cultural shock, xenophobia, intoleration, pogrom, fundamentalism, terrorism, agression, holocoust, genocide etc.. Migration – history and present, immgration in our conditions, asyl policy of the CR. Present situation in the Czech Republic – ethnic minorities in our country. Czechs and Roma – historical views and perspectives. Intercultural education – intercultural, multiethnic. Introduction to human rights. Antisemetism – the most reletless hate in mankind history. Churches, religions, sects.

Study of topics linked with the education against racism and toleration. The result is formed by a seminar work focusing on the troubles of multicultural education.
