Course objectives
This course is designed to help students improve their skills in creating distance education courses for teaching languages, especially English. By the end of the course, students should be able to create their own distance education courses and justify the choices that they make through the use of theory and prior research.
Syllabus
  • This course will cover distance education from numerous perspectives, starting with history and moving forward. A full syllabus is available in the Information System.

Teaching methods
The course will be primarily based around readings and discussions that will happen online. It will also include work with various web tools such as wikis.
Assessment methods
Students will be expected to participate in the online forums and to produce work with the various tools asked for in the course. This work will show an understanding of the material covered and ideas on how to apply it. A total of 70 points out of 100 is necessary to pass the course.
