Course objectives
At the end of this course, students should be able: to give a history survey on the territory of to-day France from the settlement up to the Great French Revolution; to apply the acquiered knowledges and skills at school.

  • 1. Prehistory. Celtic settlement. 2. Period of Romanisation of Gaule. 3. Period of reign of Mérovingiens. 4. Period of reign of Carolingiens. 5. Period of reign of Capétiens. 6. 6. The Hundred Years' War. 7. The Renaissance in France. 8. The Wars of Religion. 9. Classicism. 10. Great French Revolution.
