- Successfull completing prescribed analytic geographical subjects and basic knowledge about relationships between natural components of the Earth landscape sphere.

- Course objectives
- Main aims of the subject are as follows:
1. to identify events initiated evidently by natural factors;
2. to assess main causes of such events;
3. to assess impacts of such events on humans and human products;
4. to assess human opportunities how to influence the course of such events;
5. to analyze and create a map of changes in the ladnscape using GIS techonologis; - Syllabus
- 1. Introductory to the study of physical geography methods and natural hazards.
- 2. Climate extremes (tropical cyclones, tornados, drought, etc.)
- 3. Hydrological extremes (floods)
- 4. Tectonic and volcanic activity
- 5. Landslides
- 6. Man´s role within natural hazards creation and prevention
- 7. Observation ans monitoring
