Knowledge of German on lower intermediate level as documented by passing the exam at the end of the preceding summer term; ability and willingness to participate in German based classroom activities;

Course objectives
The aim is to further develop practical oral and written language skills in German.The students shall be enabled to develop their language-acknowledgment and apply it appropriately in certain situations and kontexts.
Syllabus
  • The textbook (Daniels, Albert: Mittelpunkt B2, Deutsch als Fremdsprache für Fortgeschrittene, Stuttgart: Klett) will be supplemented by additional materials (IS/Učební materiály). Lesson 1: Friendships, Write Greeting Cards, two-piece connectors, Middle of the clause, Lesson 2: In the company, phone call, state passive, passive sentences, participle I and II as adjective, Lesson 3: Media, reportage, news, reference words in the text, wenn-phrases and dass-phrases, Literary texts reading, oppositive and exclusion sentence, modal subordinate clauses, Lesson 4: After school, Reviews with adverbs, temporal expressions, temporal correlations.
