SZ7BP_2NB1 is a follow-up course of the course SZ7BP_1NB1 organised within level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. A pass in SZ7BP_1NB1 represents an essential precondition for enrolment for this course.

Course objectives
The course focuses on German as a language of studies as well as further development of language skills within the given level (B1). Practice involves: 1) comprehending authentic texts in written and recorded form 2) presentations and discussions, dialogues, presenting arguments and expressing personal opinions 3) writing less complicated formal texts, brief letters and essays.

Teaching methods
seminars group work, role play, feedback, writing tasks
Assessment methods
Credit requirements: 1) Attendance (only 1 lesson can be missed), active participation 2) Homework set in classes 3) Oral presentation 4) Exam – written + oral part. Only students who complete all assignments can take the exam. Both parts of the exam need to be passed (written part – 45/70 points, oral part – 20/ 30 points). Pass mark: 65% (65 points out of 100). Written part: listening, reading, grammar, vocabulary, writing. Oral part: monologue (1 minute) + dialogue (6 minutes)
