- Course objectives
- Students aquaint with basic intonation constructions of the Russian language, that are important for proper expression and communication in Russian.
Students are obliged to read and to listen to Russian texts. - Syllabus
- 1. Intonation, intonation constructions of the Russian language (IS), centre of intonation, word stress and phrasal stress, division of sentences for syntagmas.
- 2. Intonation construction 1 (IC-1). Declarative sentence.
- 3. Intonation construction 2 (IC-2). Interrogative sentence with interrogative word.
- 4. Intonation construction 3 (IC-3). Interrogative sentence without interrogative word, repeated interrogative sentence.
- 5. Intonation construction 4 (IC-4). Incomplete interrogative sentence with Russian conjunction a. Sentences with an enumeration.
- 6. Intonation construction 5 (IC-5). Emotionally sentences, positive and negative emotionally sentences with a two centers of intonation.
- 7. Intonation construction 6 (IC-6). Positive emotionally sentences.
- 8. Intonation construction 7 (IC-7). Negative emotionally sentences.
- 9. Intonation of Russian in comparison to Czech: declarative sentence, interrogative sentence, imperative sentence.
- 10. Reading of dialogues.
- 11. Listening, analysis of this listening (correct use of IC).
- 12. Revision: reading and analysis of dialogues.
