Course objectives
The course focuses on revising, development, and supplementing basic knowledge of combinatorics that students already have from secondary schools. At the end of this course, students should understand fully the basic concepts and rules in combinatorics and they should be able to solve independently also complex tasks in combinatorics.

  • 1. Rules of summation and product. Factorial.
  • 2. Variations without repetition.
  • 3. Permutations without repetition.
  • 4. Combinations without repetition.
  • 5. Combinatorial numbers.
  • 6. Variations with repetition.
  • 7. Permutations with repetition.
  • 8. 4. Combinations with repetition.
  • 9. Binomial theorem and its use
  • 10. Solving combinatorial problems in arithmetic.
  • 11. Solving combinatorial problems in geometry.
